How to use historical mode

Understand how things changed over time

Historical mode lets you go back in time and see how wallet activity, connections, and distribution evolved.

Instead of only looking at the current state, you can understand how a token developed.

Step 1: Go back to an earlier point

Start by moving the time slider to an earlier moment.

  • Pick a time before major activity

  • Look at the map when things were quieter

Ask yourself: What did the map look like at the beginning?

Step 2: Identify early wallets

Look for wallets that appear early.

  • Early wallets often hold a large share

  • They may be part of the same group

Ask yourself: Who was there first?

Step 3: Track how wallets were funded

Move forward in time and watch how wallets receive funds.

  • Look for wallets funded at the same time

  • Check if they come from the same source

Ask yourself: Did these wallets start together?

Step 4: Watch clusters form

As time progresses, clusters begin to appear.

  • Groups of wallets start connecting

  • Distribution changes

Ask yourself: How did these clusters develop?

Step 5: Compare past vs present

Jump between earlier and current states.

  • See how connections changed

  • Identify shifts in distribution

Ask yourself: What changed over time?

What to look for

Historical mode helps reveal:

  • Early accumulation by a small group

  • Wallets funded before public activity

  • Clusters forming before major events

  • Sudden changes in distribution

These patterns often explain what you see today

Quick checklist

When using historical mode:

  • Who appeared first?

  • When were wallets funded?

  • Do wallets share timing or sources?

  • How did clusters form?

  • What changed over time?
